North Country Health System has Thirteen Newly Certified Basic Life Support Instructors

Thanks to a Workforce Education and Training fund grant from the Vermont Department of Labor, thirteen employees at North Country Health System completed a day-long Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Training on January 26th and are now certified to teach BLS. BLS training is mandatory for the vast majority of the clinical staff at the organization, and must be renewed every two years. This training reflects the new guidelines set forth by the American Heart Association.

In addition to instructing classes within the organization, these instructors will be available to teach groups within the community.
