There are many area services designed to improve the quality of life for women living in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. These services address a wide variety of issues ranging from domestic violence, to child care, to breaking the bonds of addiction. However, if people don't know about these services, they can’t get help.

The Women’s Resource Network provides a trained coordinator five days a week to help women connect with needed services and resources. Annie Christoni, Women’s Services Coordinator at North Country Hospital, can help with accessing healthcare, financial assistance, mental health, support groups, and other community resources.

A 1984 graduate of North Country Union High School, Annie has a Bachelors Degree in Human Services from Springfield College, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Her experience working at Northeast Kingdom Human Services in Newport and Northeast Kingdom Community Action in Newport required extensive involvement with children, and their families, helping them locate necessary services.
